LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Thursday said that those demanding his resignation are, in fact, against the provincial government’s development projects.
Speaking to the media, Shehbaz said that Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT)’s joint opposition protest aimed “not to oppose me, but these development projects” in Punjab.
Talking about Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan’s remarks against the parliament, Punjab CM said that such comments “can not be uttered by a decent person”. “If they are cursing the parliament, then why are they a part of it,” Shehbaz added.
In response to his appearance before National Accountability Bureau (NAB) committee pertaining Hudaibiya Mills case, Shehbaz said that he would present himself before the people of Pakistan if corruption charges against him are proven.
