SUKKUR: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Khursheed Shah on Sunday urged the state institutions to ensure on-time elections since he said it is essential for the welfare of the nation.
Addressing an Eid-Milan party in Sukkur, the former opposition leader in the National Assembly said that Pakistan was split into two due to incompetence of the democratic governments, while the dictators weakened the country.
He added that PPP founder Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto put an end to several movements due to his exceptional political knowledge and competence.
Khursheed said that due to instability in Pakistan, “small” nations are also threatening the country and that the general elections 2018 are extremely essential for the welfare of the country and continuation of the democratic system in Pakistan.
